Unusual Ab Training

The abs are unquestionably the showcase of any good physique. They’re also the best indicator of all around fitness. If you got abs – it’s a good bet you’re in shape. If you don’t – you ain’t. Big muscles and a big belly just doesn’t cut it. The abs are also the toughest bodypart to develop because they are so easily hidden under stored fat. But even with a low bodyfat percentage you need to develop the abdominal muscles so they stand out clear and defined.

Ab exercises are pretty routine. There are situps, leg raises, and their several variations. But the abs can be worked in many ways. As long as you contract the muscles against resistance, they’re working. And that means they’ll be tighter and firmer. Unfortunately, sit-ups and leg raises don’t offrer much resistance, which is why you have to perform so many of them. For a more effective workout, in less time, it’s better to do sit ups and leg raises with added weight. Don’t worry about the abs getting too big! They’re a very shallow muscle group and it’s almost impossible for them to grow overly large.

One exercise that is a little different, but works the entire abdominal region well is a partial sit up with the arms overhead, holding a weight. It can be a dumbell, or a medicine ball – anything that weighs between 10 and 20 pounds.

Here’s how it’s done:

Lie on you back with the legs bent as if you were going to do a traditional sit up. Now, holding the weight directly overhead with arms outstretched, lift the torso up and reach toward the ceiling. Slowly return back down. You’ll feel the pressure in your stomach right away. It’s tougher, but that’s what makes it so much more effective.

You can also try doing” reverse” sit ups using the seated dipping machine.

Stand, facing the machine and bend forward with your arms on the handles. Now, keeping your back flat and your arms straight, push downward (as if you’re bowing forward) in a slow controlled manner, returning to the original position in the same way. What makes this movement so great is the fact that most seated dipping machines have more than enough weight to tax even the strongest bodybuilder. Instead of doing hundreds of sit ups, you can do 4 sets of 10-20 reps and get much better results.

Resistance can also be employed with leg raises as well, but you’ll need the help of a training partner. Have him or her push down on your legs as they drop into the lowering position. This will increase the intensity of the upward lift. All in all, you can hit more muscle fibers by the 10th rep than you would doing twice as many leg raises with no resistance at all.

Experiment with these ideas and see if you can come up with a few of your own. (For more ideas on unusual exercises that will shock the muscles into greater growth check Nelson Montana’s books – The Bodybuilding Truth and Bottom Line Bodybuilding – sold here for the best price on the net).

And as mentioned, when it comes to perfect abdominal development, low bodyfat is the key. That means staying aware of calorie consumption in the form of excessive fats and carbs. You also want to keep the thyroid working at full efficiency which is why we recommend ZIP along with your daily supplements. ZIP is caffeine free, but for an added kick, you can use some caffeine product such as coffe or Red Bull or even Mountain Dew. Just keep in mind, caffeine in itself does not burn fat. The reason it’s added to so many so called “fat loss’ products is it will give you extra stimulation which in tune can lead to burning more calories during a workout. But don’t count on burning too many calories that way. The bottom line still comes down to diet and thyroid output.

Try these suggestions and you’ll be on your way to a sleeker, harder midsection faster than you even thought possible.

Post-Cycle

We've succeeded where so many other supplement companies have failed! POST-CYCLE covers all the bases. Where else are you going to find an anti-estrogen along with liver protectants and detoxifiers along with ingredients to boost libido and improve erectile function! And on top of it all, POST-CYCLE increases Nitric Oixde so you get vicious pumps in the gym. You'd have to spend three times as much for just one or two of these ingredients, but with POST-CYCLE, you get it all, for less!

Again, we avoided some typical "window dressing" ingredients in favor of the most effective compounds available. When it came to anti-estrogens we passed on DIM and I3C because these compounds are mild estrogens which MAY inhibit further estrogens from attaching to receptors, OR, (and this is what they never tell you) they may have an estrogenic effect on their own! No way. We also passed on some of the new androstenetrione antiestrogens simply for the fact that no research has been conducted on them. There's no way of knowing if these compounds have a "rebound" effect, causing an increase in estrogen once you stop using it. That's why we went with Calcium D-Glucarate in combination with 5, 7-dihydroxyflavone and added the Bioperine to increase its absorption. This allows for the safe, proven removal of excess estrogens for a perfect hormonal balance.

Directions: Take 1 serving (3 capsules) per day with one week break every 4 weeks.

For "post cycle therapy" take 2 servings for 4 weeks followed by a maintenance dose of one serving a day for an additional 4 weeks, then follow standard dosing.

FOr use as a pro-sexual boost, take an additional serving 30 minutes before activity. FOr increased effectiveness, stack with Unleashed.
And just as a kicker, we put in a powerful dose of MACA so you really feel a surge. Not to mention the mega-dose of our high potency Candium will give you stamina like you've never experienced before! POST-CYCLE should be a part of every serious bodybuilders supplement regime. Used in a stack with UNLEASHED and wow! This stuff kicks ass!

Supplement Facts

* Serving Size 3 Capsules (once per day)
* Servings per Container 30
* Milk Thistle:80%Silymarin 100mgs

As everyone knows, the use of anabolics carries certain health risks. And once you come off, the side effects are even worse. A suppressed HPTA. Elevated liver enzymes. Lowered libido. Increased estrogen. These things will not only compromise your health but they'll slow down recuperation. In the meantime, you'll lose precious muscle! Don't let it happen.

Now, you can protect yourself from many of these detrimental effects and restore your natural vital functions faster than ever before with new "POST - CYCLE."

POST-CYCLE is specifically designed with a unique combination of ingredients which provide multifaceted benefits for the anabolic user.

* First, we've included not one, not two, but FIVE different ingredients to help guard, clean and detoxify the liver.
* Milk Thistle:80%Silymarin 100mgs
* N-Acetyl Cysteine: 50 mgs
* Pirkoliv: (Ayurvedic herb) 100mgs
* r-ALA: 10 mgs
* Lecithin (containing Phosphatidyl Choline) 250mgs

The next step was to add Estrogen ELIMINATORS.

This is important. Anything that blocks the production of estrogen only works as long as you take the product. As soon as you stop, the estrogen comes back twofold! The key is to REMOVE excess estrones, and the only ingredients we've found to do that are here! But the dosages must be correct! Too much or too little can throw your hormonal balance way off. POST-CYCLE contains the following aromatase inhibitors:

Calcium D-Glucarate: 25 mgs, 5,7-dihydroxyflavone: 500 mgs Piperine:5mgs

In a case study using the blood work as the gauge, this combination of ingredients proved to lower estrodiol levels over 20%! (Blood tests don't lie)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

One of the regrettable downfalls of steroid use is the havoc it plays on your libido. This can lead to a multitude of depressing and embarrassing episodes for a long time afterward. BUT NOT ANYMORE!

Even natural athletes can take advantage of the pro-sexual benefits of POST-CYCLE since every ingredient is designed to promote health and well being. (Note: When taken with "UNLEASHED" the effects are even more dramatic.)

One of the ingredients of POST CYCLE is a newly discovered compound called Cnidium Monnieri. (50mgs). 2 capsules twenty minutes before "activity" and we guarantee you won't be "let down."

Also included in POST-CYCLE is 500mgs of high potency MACA, and 250 mgs of Epimedium to help kick start your sex drive. 15mgs of Zinc Aspartate (for both estrogen maintenance and testosterone production) as well as 250mgs of L-Arginine are also added to enhance Nitric Oxide production, suppress estrogen and heightenA testosterone.

THE ONE AND ONLY!!

We know once other supplement companies get a hold of this formula they're going to try their damnedest to copy it. But don't be fooled by wannabe imitators. Go with the world's first and most effective post-cycle supplement ever formulated.

POST-CYCLE -- It's What You Should Be On, When You're "Off."

Super Plasma Protein

One of the main concerns of bodybuilders that use supplements is the ability for that supplement to be digested and absorbed in the most beneficial way. The bodybuilder can manipulate his or her proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, to enhance digestion of certain supplements hence making them more effective. On the other hand, supplement companies have also gone on to make claims that they have enhanced their specific supplement to increase absorption thus making their product more effective than the others with the same base.

This article will discuss one supplement that has never really been able to make any advancements in absorption and digestion, one supplement that the "BIG BOYS" of the supplement industry has never focused on. This supplement is whey protein, and the Protein Factory is going to offer you a new product that is now a MUST USE in your supplement arsenal. This supplement deals with the body’s ability to digest and absorb more free-form amino acids and peptides thus putting the body into a positive nitrogen balance, thus triggering natural muscle growth.

Protein digestion is a complex process. It involves actions by the stomach then most importantly the small intestine. The small intestine are where certain enzymes that turn the protein into free-form amino acids and di and tri-peptides, thus getting them ready to be absorbed. Free-form amino acids and hydrolyzed peptides are the only two forms of amino’s that get absorbed. The quality of a whole food protein a person eats plays a major role in how efficient the digestion and absorption of that whole food protein is.

The quality of a food is measured by a few different techniques. If you’re an experienced bodybuilder you will recognize these right away. These techniques are biological value, (BV),Protein Efficiency Ration (PER) and Protein digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS). These techniques are all based on whole food proteins ability to support growth and survival. Which technique is the most important one related to muscle growth? Neither of them, what is important is which protein rate at the top of each technique. And once again, if you’re an experienced bodybuilder you will know that proteins such as whey, egg, and soy rate at the top. These proteins have the best absorption rate and highest quality amino acid profile, thus the BEST for protein supplementation. The Protein Factory recommends a variety of protein sources because each individual protein possess certain qualities that are unique to themselves. But even though whole food protein powders such as whey, soy, and egg rate high on the quality scales (BV, PER, and PDCAAS) protein loss still occurs.

Loss of protein (nitrogen (N)) occurs mostly through urine, then feces, sweat, saliva, menstruation, and seminal ejaculation. The total loss in grams is throughout the day is about 30 grams if you weigh about 180lbs. Everybody has a different rate of protein digestion, absorption and excretion. Some people can digest and absorb certain protein better than others. For example, growing babies have less nitrogen loss than grown males. Special protein sub-fractions (Immunoglobulin) in breast milk increase protein absorption needed for a babies rapid growth rate. A baby when first born can gain grow 1 pound a week. Don’t sound like much! Consider a newborn baby only weighs an average of 7lbs, that means he increases his bodyweight by 14%. Now compare that to a steroid taking bodybuilder who gains 1 pound a week. That’s only .005%. Keep in mind the protein sub-fraction I have mentioned above (Immunoglobulin) Bodybuilders goals are to find ways to increase protein absorption and digestion and decrease protein (N) loss, hence bringing more amino acids, and nutrients into the bloodstream and putting themselves in a condition for muscle growth.

Increasing protein absorption will bring direct results in muscle growth than the supplements that have been made to increase protein synthesis via alternate conditions, such as creatine and pro-hormones. Creatine increases cellular hydration and pro-hormone increase natural testosterone levels. Thus muscle growth can occur due to these conditions. One must remember that the bottom line for muscle growth is protein synthesis. Muscle growth only occurs when protein synthesis is increased. Creatine and pro-hormones are ways to increase protein synthesis, (increase in endurance (creatine) and increase in natural testosterone levels (pro-hormones). But without amino acids to fuel muscle, growth can be hampered. Thus the supplement companies have come up with ways to increase protein synthesis via other factors and conditions, but not any ways to directly increase the amount of amino acids moving into the blood stream. Increasing amino acid absorption on the other hand is very complex and difficult to understand. That is why I believe the supplement companies have not come up with a better digesting protein supplement. One exception, from reading the Protein Factory website is hydrolyzed whey protein and free-from amino acids. These two products are better absorbed than regular proteins such as whey, soy, and egg. But bodybuilders are apt to use them because. 1)Hydrolyzed whey protein proteins are very difficult to find. The only company that I know that sells "REAL" hydrolyzed whey protein is the Protein Factory. 2)High quality hydrolyzed proteins tastes awful! 3)Free-Form amino acids are expensive and finding them in powdered form is difficult. But, due to a recent supplement breakthrough a new product will help improve gut functions, directly effecting the amino acid influx into the bloodstream, bringing one body into a positive nitrogen balance and increasing lean muscle mass.

This supplement is officially called Bovine Serum Concentrate. (BSC) The company that manufacturers this supplement holds a patent on it. So when you see companies start stealing the term and switching it around like Serum protein, Bovine sub-fractions don’t be fooled. It must state on the label, "Bovine Serum Concentrate".

Bovine Serum Concentrate is an "immunoglobulin-rich protein ideal for use as an ingredient in intestinal nutrition and health products" (REF). And the biggest surprise of all is that it is NOT a whey protein. It is derived from beef plasma. Here is a list of benefits from this supplement, which some I will explain in detail. Keep in mind this research has been conducted for over 18 years.

1. Bioactive hormone, growth factors and cytokines promote cell growth (in vitro)

2. Activation of immune system thereby preventing protein and energy loss.

3. Immunoglobulins reduces the risk of contracting virus and other germs, such as colds and flus. By doing this your body retains protein and energy it needs to fuel muscle growth and sustain energy.

4. Aids in maintaining a healthy gut, facilitating digestion, absorption, and utilization of nutrients.

5. Immunoglobulins improve the process of the small intestine thus helping amino acids and other nutrients to become absorbed.

6. Increases retained nitrogen, promotes weight gain.

7. Studies conducted with the use of immunoglobulin found less nitrogen in the urine and feces. Thus they found more nitrogen in the muscle, which meant an increase in muscle mass.

8. Increases retained fat/energy.

9. Reduced protein and amino acid catabolism, improves protein retention.

10. Increases fat-free body mass.

11. Includes protein such as immunoglobulin G, albumin, alpha-2-macroglobulin, and transferrin.

12. Significant concentrations of peptides such as insulin-like growth-I, fibroblast growth factor, and transforming growth factor-beta.

This (Number 12) is one of the most important aspects of the new supplement, and probably why gains in muscle mass occur. Bovine Serum concentrate contains high levels of IGF-1. "The IGF peptides are bound tightly to plasma proteins (IGFBP’s) (REF) Unlike normal whey protein such as Cross-Flow Microfiltration and ion-exchange which contain very low levels of these growth factors, bovine serum concentrate contains much higher levels. IGF-1 is believed to mediate most anabolic activity in the body along with growth hormone. Now don’t get too excited about the level of IGF-1. Because most research has shown that even with pharmaceutical levels of IGF-1 doesn’t produce that much of an effect. A pharmaceutical level of growth hormone plus IGF-1 has been proven to work better than both alone. But, in another interesting study, IGF-1 taken with adequate amounts of amino acids increased protein synthesis.

Bovine Serum concentrate is a powdered sprayed-dried protein subfraction isolated from edible bovine plasma. It is then concentrated to form a high level of immunoglobin G. The immunoglobulin is the key ingredient. Studies that were conducted using immunoglobulin found that this protein sub-fraction sustains the benefits listed above. I can bore you with all the studies, but I wont. The truth is that immunoglobulin is now being used on AIDS, cancer, and malnourished children to aid in protein digestion. The manufacturer of BSC also has stated that it might be sold as a prescription drug in the next few years to come.

Dosage

An amount of 1 gram taken with meals of BSC powder is recommend by the manufacturer. No side effects have been reported even at a dosage of 20,000 grams per day. The Powder is to be taken with meals. The Protein Factory will be offering this product by itself or to be blended in with a normal protein powder.

The Protein Factory recommends at percentage of 5% for protein only powders This is based on the a 30 grams serving size of powder. For meal replacement powders the Protein Factory recommends a 2% usage of BSC.

SCAMS

Regular commercial whey protein that is popular with bodybuilders today contains a very little amount of immunoglobin, if any at all. Whey protein concentrate, contain next to none, but supplement companies will list them anyway just to fancy their marketing hype. It looks something like this.

"Our protein contains significant concentrates of powerful GMP’s, and sub-fractions Lactabumin and Lactoferrin." It is a scam. Major supplement companies don’t have a clue to what these sub-fractions do, let alone how much is actually in their product.

Below is new information about NEW Bovine Serum! November 5th, 11:10 AM 1999.

A New interview with one of the technical researchers of the makers of Bovine Serum. Protein Factory: How much more nitrogen is retained per g Bovine Serum consumed? Answer: We found in the animal model (mouse) that .05 g nitrogen will be retained per g of plasma protein intake. This would equate to about .3g increase in body protein and 1.0 g of FFM (Fat free Mass) per g of plasma protein intake. This data is in close agreement with the work in pigs. Although we did not measure N composition at the start of the experiment, the data between the two experiments is in agreement.

Protein Factory: How much weight gain (Fat-Free MASS) is estimated per g of Bovine Serum consumed?

Answer: We estimate an increase of 1 g of FFM per g of Bovine Serum consumed.

Protein Factory: How long does a person have to consume Bovine Serum before realizing effects?

Answer: In animal studies changes in FFM occur within a week of "treatment".. I have notice an improvement within 2 days of consuming the product.

Protein Factory: Will Bovine Serum more so enhance the endurance trainer or the "sprint trainer" (in terms of energy)?

Answer: The endurance athlete has a higher protein requirement (per kg bodyweight) so will likely benefit more than the "sprint trainer". Of course, a slight change in FFM and performance of a sprinter means more to them than a slight change for an endurance athlete because of the length of the events.

Thanks for the questions. I hope this information is helpful.

Protein Factory: Thanks, I'm sure they will be!!

Protein Factory comments.

Now I know what everyone is thinking, "If I consume a pound of Bovine Serum a day does that mean I'll gain a pound of FFM a day!!! Probably not, but we are going to continue this interview with the next couple of weeks.

Our new supplement is here. Enjoy the article

Glycine propionyl-L-carnitine hydrocholoride (GPLC)

Glycine propionyl-L-carnitine hydrocholoride (GPLC) is a fairly new ingredient to enter into the bodybuilding supplementation world. It sold by a company called Sigma-Tau health sciences. They are the company that actual makes the product. It is marketing to supplement company’s as being the only true product to raise nitrate levels in the blood. Ie a nitric oxide product. Sigma-tau provides research and real data to support this claim. They also make claims on their website http://www.glycocarn.com/index.html that L-arginine and their related products do nothing for nitrate levels in the blood. This website is great if you like to read about real research and real products. Sigma-Tau sells the shit out of this product to many, many supplement company.s. I quickly counted on their “products” part of their website and counted about 50 company’s that carry the GPLC in their products.

Now here’s the bad news. #1 the product tastes like shit and is very expensive to use. The studies that I have read show that one must use 4 grams of GPLC for a serving size. Thus if you look at the GPLC sold at protein factory.com you will notice it cost $65.00 for a measly 150 grams. That’ll last you about 1 month. So I went ahead and looked at what other supplement company’s were selling their GPLC for.

Well here’s what I found.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sts/nitrocarn-gplc-fusion.html

This product contains only 1.5 grams of GPCL in 4 capsules and you only get 15 servings per bottle. So what this supplement company did is either didn’t read the study that it takes 4 grams of GPLC to work or made a conscience decision to rip you off. http://www.maxmusclelincoln.com/Productpdf/MaxNitroEXT_PDS.pdf

Here’s another product I found that contains GPLC but along with a bunch of 10 other things in their “proprietary formula”. It equates to only 3.65 grams. So barely enough to give you the 4grams required.

Thus when trying to find GPLC make sure you get one with the correct serving size of 4 grams of GPLC per serving. Don’t be fooled by proprietary formulas. If you see a GPLC product with other ingredients like L-arginine or things like it. I don’t recommend you buy it.

I recommend these GPLC products.

1) Proteinfactory.com Nitric Oxide GPLC ( of course). It contains 4 grams per serving.

2) MHP N.O. Bomb.

3) and uhhh yea. These are the only two products I could find listed on the Sigma-tau website that actually gives you 4 grams per serving. So out of the 20 or so sports nutrition company’s that use this product only 2 use it correctly. The other don’t or they plead the 5th (proprietary ingredients)

Alex's Weight Loss Stacks

Being that it is January, and everybody I’m sure has the same goal for the New Year- Get back into shape…I have come up with a few weight loss stacks that you can use. They are based on two things; the notion of increasing overall health that alerts the body into a condition of anabolism and anti-catabolism and customer feedback and personal experience.

If you are not eating healthy your chances of losing muscle mass while restricting calories is amplified. If you are not making the gain you want, stop wasting your money on, overly-hyped muscle building supplement, and start giving your body the nutrients and fuel your needs.

Stack #1 for getting ripped

Protein. Use the PF Fast Loss or Advanced Muscle Gain. Both of these proteins are incredible for weight loss and keeping out of a catabolic state.

Dietary Fat. Krill Oil. Provides the body with huge dose of anti-oxidants.

Green Muscle. A stack of green powders.

Advantra Z. Still the ONLY proven thermogenic product on the face of the earth.

Stack #2 for quality mass gains

Posigain or PF Growth Formula. Carbs and quality protein for anabolic results.

Super Plasma Protein. The ultimate protein for muscle growth. 50% IGG and yields high amounts of growth factors.

Killer QC. Use Post-workout with of course a good Post Training formula.

Stack #3. I’m going freakin’ nuts stack!

Protein. Advanced Muscle Gain

A good MRP for during the day. Big Blast

Krill Oil.

Killer QC. For post-workout.

Tetra Pump. My ultimate pre or post-workout formula.

Purple Muscle. My favorite flavor for getting my fruits and some veggies

Hydrolyzed Proteins

It seems the use of Hydrolyzed Protein is starting to take on a little more steam as more and more people are using Hydrolyzed Proteins. Whether it be our PeptoPro, Hydrolyzed 1400 or 520. Thus I just want make a few points to remember about Hydrolyzed Proteins and how to use them properly and also, some sneaky little tricks to make them work even better. First and foremost make sure you UNDERSTAND Hydrolyzed Proteins. If you don’t, DON’T purchase a Hydrolyzed Protein because you could be purchasing a low quality one. The basic rule is this…Make sure you know the molecular weight average of the protein. PeptoPro is the best at about 250 daltons, followed by the 520, and then the 1400. Second, know that these products taste BAD. If you know my writings and thoughts I lay things out in “layman’s terms” and if you can’t use it, what the hell good is it to you?

Next, hydrolyzed proteins are very effective around training. They have a remarkable ability to keep the body out of a catabolic state (muscle wasting). Testimonials from our customers are pumping in about gains in strength and loss of body fat with the use of hydrolyzed proteins pre and post workout. This tells me that yes, the body is in a positive nitrogen state.

Get the most out of your Hydrolyzed Protein. Use it with a high GI carb or any carb for that matter. Dextrose, Maltodextrin, or any food, say a banana. This will keep any peptides from being used up as energy.

How much to use? Quite frankly I am seeing as little as 5 grams for being effective. Personally I have been using a new fruit product that I have made up. It’s a combination of strictly “Orange” colored fruit along with some DMG and CQ10. I combine this with PeptoPro and take it pre-workout, followed up by a mixture of “RED” colored fruits and 2 servings of PeptoPro. Seems to be effective…..For the carbs, use between 30 and 75.

How Much Protein Can the Body Digest?

How Much Protein can the body digest at once? That has been one of my most asked questions since starting Proteinfactory.com in 1998. My answer has always been, “well nobody really knows the answer”, “no scientific studies have ever been conducted on the AMOUNT of protein an individual can digest at once. In this new letter I will address that question in a short paragraph by protein research and scientist Dr. Siebrecht

A certain portion of the protein we consume is not absorbed by our body but degraded by bacteria in our intestinal tract. Sometimes up to 40% of the consumed protein can disappear during the process. Also, a portion of the absorbed protein which reaches our blood is not used for protein synthesis but for energy production. In that case, the amino acids are transformed into carbohydrates by the gluconeogenesis in the liver. The liver transforms excess amino acids into carbohydrates by the gluconeogensiss in the liver. The liver transforms excess amino acids into glucose (gluconeogenesis) and the nitrogen of the amino acids is turned into ammonia and excreted as urea via the urine. The more nitrogen is found in the urine the more amino acids have been burned for energy production instead of being used for their main purpose, protein synthesis. The lower the nitrogen excretion in the urine, the more amino acids have been used for protein synthesis. This is called nitrogen retention and the higher the nitrogen retention; the more amino acids have been used for building new proteins in our body. Studies from Boza have shown that the nitrogen retention is highest for hydrolyzed caseinate, higher than that from free amino acids or intact protein. That means that the amino acids from Hydrolyzed Caseinate are better and more rapidly absorbed having a higher bioavailability for protein synthesis than amino acids from normal protein and free amino acids.

Whether the peptides are absorbed by the mucosa and what the mucosa releases into the blood is still a question. The mucosa cleaves the peptides further into single amino acids and releases them into the blood stream. But if this was always true, all proteins would appear as free amino acids. This would not explain the different metabolic, physiologic and pharmaceutical response of our body to different proteins and peptides. It is more likely that some smaller peptides are entering the blood stream as such and then causing different metabolic reactions.

MicroLactin and the Effect on Recovery After Exercise

Eighteen highly trained, non seasonal, distanced runners, male and female who consistently had been running for 3 or more years were recruited to participate in a double-blind placebo controlled experiment. The experiment was set up to show the benefits of supplementing with MicroLactin vs a commercially obtained (placebo) milk powder as an ergogenic aid to performance enhancement in non-seasonal, highly trained runners The Experiment:

Eighteen highly trained, non seasonal, distanced runners, male and female who consistently had been running for 3 or more years were recruited to participate in a double-blind placebo controlled experiment. The experiment was set up to show the benefits of supplementing with MicroLactin vs a commercially obtained (placebo) milk powder as an ergogenic aid to performance enhancement in non-seasonal, highly trained runners. The study was conducted on a double blind basis with neither the runners nor the investigator having knowledge of which milk was being taken. Data analysis was likewise conducted on a double blind basis using codes D and E, but without knowledge which contained the MicroLactin and which was placebo.

Study Design:

The controlled study was to last 29 weeks and was to consist of a pretreatment period of 4 weeks during which time all subjects took placebo milk. After a 4 week baseline period, all runners consumed 45 g of placebo nonfat dry milk in water twice daily, runners were then randomized into a MicroLactin milk and a control group, on a double blind basis, and followed for a period of 6 months.

Demographics:

Among them, 10 patients were in the treatment group and 8 in the control group. The mean age was 38 with ages ranging from 28-49.

Running History:

Patients who were randomized to complete the study had an average of 16 years running experience. The distribution between sexes was similar: males 16 years, females 14 years. The average number of miles runners trained per week was 35 miles for females and 32 miles for males.

Performance Criteria:

During the study, 5 out of 10 who consumed MicroLactin had an improvement in their 5k time trail from their baseline run, compared to 2 out of 8 with the non-immune milk. Of the runners who did not improve, 4 taking MicroLactin and 2 drinking non-immune milk ran in cold and windy inclement weather. The most noteworthy finding from these comparisons is the marked reduction in recovery time between training sessions.

Serum Enzymes, rate of return to baseline after exercise: Group averages for serum enzymes CK, LDH, and AP, determined before and at intervals after 5 kilometer time trials are presented in the table below. Serum enzyme return to baseline was markedly faster in the MicroLactin runners compared to placebo controls with regard to CK and LDH. AP was not found to be a very sensitive indicator of exercise or recovery. Creatine kinase (CK) perhaps the most sensitive indicator of muscle damage and recovery, showed a particularly striking response. This can also be shown in the chart below.

Regression analysis of CK recovery rates over time revealed a highly significant (p=0.0034) decrease in recovery time over the 6 month treatment period in the MicroLactin group but no change in the controls.

Significantly improved enzyme recovery rates together with marked improvement in runner perceived recovery times represents strong evidence of anti-inflammatory or tissue sparing effects in well trained athletes under the conditions of the study.

Percentage of Body Fat:

A decrease in body fat was detected in the MicroLactin group during the study. The difference between the MicroLactin and control group was most apparent at 12 weeks. Please see the chart below. Furthermore, the finding that body weight increased slightly while % fat decreased, implies the runners gained muscle mass, not fat during the experimental period.

Overall Results:

The following apparent benefits were detected in the runners consuming MicroLactin:

• Highly significant runner perceived improvement in training
• Improved 5 kilometer race times
• Faster recovery time between training sessions
• Significantly shortened creatine kinase (CK) recovery times
• Slight but significant decrease in % of body fat despite a slight increase of body weight.

At the end of the study, 7 out of 10 runners (70%) who had taken MicroLactin reported overall improvement vs. 2 of 8 with the placebo control milk.

Discussion from Study Director:

Whether an individual is a weekend athlete or an athlete striving for an Olympic gold medal, he/she sets certain performance goals. In order to achieve these goals individuals have tried various ergogenic aids both legal, such as new diets, training techniques, or state of the art equipment and illegal, such an anabolic steroids or blood doping. These athletes hope to find an aid that will give them an “edge” to excel in their sport.

No matter what technique athletes use for performance enhancement, they are unlikely to improve if training is not consistent. When athletes must take time away from training due to muscle soreness, fatigue, or injury, their performance improvement is hindered. It has been proven that after vigorous or unaccustomed exercise, delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) will occur between 8-24 hours after exercise and may persist for 3 or more days. Even though DOMS is not a serious condition it may discourage beginning athletes from further participation in sports and lead to injury in trained athletes if they engage in heavy exercise during this time of soreness. It has been recognized that elevated plasma levels of intra muscular enzymes such as creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) correlate with increased muscle soreness and muscle injury. During the present study the runners were asked to run a 5k time trial at maximal effort in order to elevate serum enzymes and produce muscle soreness. Runners drinking MicroLactin had decreased CK recovery after intense exercise compared to runners drinking the non-immune control milk. Since increased CK levels correlate with increased muscle damage, one can assume that subjects drinking the MicroLactin had less muscular damage after strenuous exercise than subjects drinking non-MicroLactin milk.

Along with measuring serum enzymes, the runners were asked monthly to evaluate athletic performance with regard to length of recovery after a hard workout. Runners on MicroLactin had shorter recovery periods than the runners on the non-immune control milk. With quicker recovery, an athlete can train more consistently at a higher intensity resulting in performance enhancement. This improvement was seen during the study, as reflected in the runners’ 5k time trail. During the study, 5 out of 10 athletes who drank MicroLactin had an improvement in their 5k time trial from their baseline run, compared to 2 out of 8 athletes who drank non-immune milk. Of the runners who did not improve their 5k time trial, 4 of the runners drinking MicroLactin and 2 of the runners drinking non-immune milk ran in cold and windy inclement weather.

The most significant finding was the runners overall perceived improvement. This information was obtained from a monthly performance questionnaire, runner’s diaries (filled out daily), visual analog scale, and a final question which read: “Did you notice any change in performance during the study?” 70% of the runners on MicroLactin noticed a change compared to 25% percent on the non-immune milk.

Throughout the study, percent in body fat was measured. The subjects on MicroLactin showed a decrease in percent of body fat from baseline compared to subjects on non-immune milk. It is generally felt that a low body fat is desirable for successful competition in almost any sport. A strong inverse correlation is seen between percent body fat and performance in those activities in which body mass must be moved through space, either vertically, as in jumping or horizontally, as in running.

These results support the hypothesis that MicroLactin consumed at 45 g twice a day will enhance a runners performance. Even though this study was designed using highly trained, non-seasonal runners, MicroLactin milk might be expected to enhance performance in less dedicated athletes in a variety of sports. Further research would be appropriate with MicroLactin dispensed as a dietary supplement to various kinds of athletes, particularly the weekend athletes, who have high beginner exercise program drop out rates due to severe soreness or injury.

DROP 4 POUNDS IN 45 MINUTES!

Okay, we know that title sounds a little crazy but it can be done.

Keep in mind, we’re not talking about 4 pounds of solid fat. For the most part, this will be water. Nevertheless, losing some extra bloat provides a quick, albeit temporary, fix for looking leaner and more defined.

Here’s how you do it.

Start out by drinking a good amount of fluids and then weigh yourself. Now, before your workout rub a thin layer of oil or petroleum jelly on your midsection and strap on a sweatbelt directly on your skin. At this point take 4 capsules of DEFINITION.

Train in a fast paced, intense manner. Keep rest in-between sets short. If you do cardio, make it quick! No jogging. Run! Hitting a punching bag is also an excellent way to get the heart rate up fast. After the workout, have 8 ounces of water and take another 4 capsules of DEFINITION.

Although sweating is mostly water weight, there is some fat lost in perspiration. DEFINITION will promote urination which will rid the body of excess water, salts and various toxins. After about 45 minutes expect to weigh 4-5 lbs less than when you started.

DEFINITION is great as a last minute tightening or to be used on a regular basis to stay tight and avoid muscle blurring bloat. Try it and see. You’ll be surprised how well it works.

The specialists at Protein factory has finally outdone themselves! BIG BLAST is without a doubt, THE MOST POWERFUL growth inducing supplements on the market today. Noting else comes close! If you’ve had trouble packing on pounds in the past, you won’t anymore. We have the solution to your hard gain woes, and it’s BIG BLAST.

FOR SERIOUS BODYBUILDERS ONLY!

BIG BLAST is not geared for the casual fitness enthusiast, women, children, or anyone looking to lose weight. It is not a meal replacement, It is a potent muscle maximizer designed for the sole purpose of gaining mass. So if getting larger isn’t your priority, move on! BIG BLAST was developed for those who crave huge gains in the shortest time possible. And that, it does! The results are so pronounced, you’d swear you were on the “sauce”. And don’t be surprised if others think so too.

This AINT YOUR DADDY”S WEIGHT GAINER

Forget all the preconceptions you have about old fashioned weight gainer shakes that do little but leave you bloated and fat. BIG BLAST is a quantum leap in supplemental technology with an exclusive blend of ingredients scientifically designed to increase muscle growth, muscle fullness and muscle density far beyond what was once thought possible with a legal supplement.

REAL PROVEN FORMULA

Ask any expert bodybuilder or trainer what they use to grow and feed their muscles and they will all give you a run-down of the kinds of protein, carbohydrates, and fat they eat. Why, because that is the only things that ACTUALLY works. Remember all these failed supplements: HMB, Methoxy isoflavone, iproflavone, liquid creatine, ecdysterone, ribose, plant sterols, usnic acid, andro, hgh supplements. All of the aforementioned are worthless and I’m sure some of you have tried these before and can agree. And as we speak more worthless supplements are plaquing the market promising quick muscle gains.

Remember that Proteinfactory does not carry crazy, scientific-mumbo jumbo ingredients that promise “steroid-like” gains. We carry ingredients and products that work period!: Protein, carbohydrates and fat. BIG BLAST is exactly that, a combination of the most advanced, highest quality protein, carbs and fat available today. .

ANABOLISM FROM EVERY ANGLE

We know it sounds almost too good to be true, but all you need to do is follow the reasoning behind this revolutionary formula and it’ll be plain to see what makes BIG BLAST had and heels over everything else.

SUPERIOR PROTEIN: First, we decided to use the finest whey isolate protein available. Our Cross Flow Microfiltration (CFM) protein assures a superior lactose free denatured protein (99.9%) with the highest percentage of BCAA’s an absolute MUST for tissue repair and regeneration.

INNOVATIVE GROWTH FACTORS: Next, we added our “Secret Ingredient” (This is exciting.) It’s our patented Super Bovine Serum made from Immunoglobulin Concentrate. This amazing discovery far surpassed the nitrogen retaining qualities of any other protein. It’s flavorless and colorless, yet it contains the highest concentration of IGF-1 of any substance that is currently legal. And in case you didn’t know, IGF-1 (Insulin like growth factor) is the substance all the pros are dying to get their hands on—not surprising, since IGF-1 sends muscle growth into overdrive! Don’t expect to find this ingredient in our competitors so called “weight gainers”. This is a Protein factory Exclusive. It’s likely our competitors will just cut corners by using inexpensive fillers and ineffective “window dressing” ingredients, and then they pocket the savings. Colostrum is one of these window dressing ingredients. Colostrum has been around for years and supplement companies have been using it to increase the total IGF-1 content of their supplement. But our Super Bovine contains as much as 3 times the amount of IGF-1 as colostrum. Super Bovine is far superior for increasing your serum IGF-1 levels over colostrum. We wanted BIG BLAST to be the Rolls Royce of size promoting supplements so we spared no expense and included a hefty dose of Super Bovine Serum. It HAD to be in there. It’s a fact; nothing this side of a prescription drug works as well for promoting anabolism. You have to experience how great this stuff is for yourself.

MUSCLE VOLUMIZERS: Also included is our one-of-a-kind combination of ingredients that fill y our muscles with vital fluids and nutrients without smoothing you out. Now, everyone knows that good old Creatine is one of the most proven supplements in terms of adding strength and size, but creatine can lead to water retention and stomach distress. IN the past you just HAD to take the good with the bad. BUT NOT ANYMORE. The developers are Protein factory painstakingly sourced the newest, latest cutting-edge technology in creatine supplementation. The information you are about to read is a little disturbing but at the same time must know info about creatine.

The main problem with all existing creatine supplementation, is the ability to deliver a concentrated amount of creatine to the system. Our Patent Pending Research proves that these prior creatine products actually have the human body ingesting creatinine (a poison and toxic by product). Over the years we have read and seen all types of advertisements for the purity of creatine. Everyone has claimed that their creatine product contains less creatinine than the next. This was only partially factual, or at least until the bottle was opened. Over the years, the athlete has had to load creatine and maintain a high level intake in order to feel something. Along with this consumption also came all the complaints and side effects that creatine has become famous for. Stomach distress, nausea, headaches, cotton mouth, no producing any results, and much more. These side effects are caused by the body’s defense to a toxic compound called creatinine. Creatinine is synthesized in the liver, pancreas and kidneys. Our bodies’ internal defense mechanism to save itself from this ingested poison is to try and dilute the toxin with water. Creatinine is very toxic and extremely dangerous. View the chart to see how quickly regular creatine converts to creatinine. Amazing isn’t it. Now here's the good new. BIG BLAST contains a new advanced form of creatine the NEVER converts to creatinine. This way you can be sure that ingesting 100% creatine and 0% by-product creatinine. Something that ONLY BIG BLAST can claim. This assures maximum absorption with minimal water retention. Your muscles will be thicker, fuller, and possess more contractile strength due to accelerated ATP production, not just increased water.

But that’s not all! When we said we set out to make BIG BLAST to be the best growth formula bar one, we meant it!

That’s why we blended our special creatine formula with Nitric Oxide (NO2) enhancer that is THREE TIMES as powerful as the NO2 products being sold today. This is due to additional ingredients that multiply the Nitric Oxide hemodialation process. You wont believe the incredible pumps you’ll get when you take this prior to your workout! And the pump last long after you leave the gym. Do you wish you could get that tight, full skin stretching vascular look that was only though possible with the use of anabolics? You can get it with Big Blast. And Big is what you’ll get.

WERE NOT FINISHED YET! Look at what else BIG BLAST contains..

Organic Whole Egg for the essential hormone production from “good” cholesterol.

(Note: Don’t be fooled by other companies that claim they reproduced the amino ratio of human mother’s milk. This was first proposed by the revolutionary chemist Rheo Blair in 1965 and has been attempted to be imitated (unsuccessfully) ever since. However, it was the egg yolk in the original Rheo Blair protein that caused the great gains in those who used it. But comparing that protein or any of its off-shoots to Big Blast is like comparing a Model T Ford to a Ferrari! Big Blast blows away anything and everything past or present!)

HRS TM (Hydrolyzed rice syrup). Developed in collaboration with world-leading medical researchers, the long-chain carbohydrates in Big Blast provide significant performance advantages over standard carbohydrates. This includes: Accelarated delivery of vital energy, enhanced absorption. HRS works 20-30% faster than standard glucose or dextrose) because it has been digested through a patented enzymatic process. Testing has shown that HRS is absorbed into the bloodstream faster than any other carb source thus increasing “intercellular hydration.” Basically what that means is the muscle tissue absorbs more fluids and nutrients without the subcutaneous water retention that lies under the skin and blurs definition. Instead, HRS will transport all the amino and growth agents deep into your hard training muscle fibers instantly.

And to top it all off, we included special digestive enzymes so that all of the precious ingredients are assimilated and utilized to their fullest. No more waste! NO more bloat! Now you can make the most of every muscle building amino you take in!

Don’t let your starved muscles wait for nourishment. Feed them the high octane fuel that only BIG Blast can provide.

If you want to stand out from the rest, you gotta get BIG. Get BIG with BIG BLAST!

Mass From The Past

Long before the internet. Long before all the high tech information on training and nutrition. Long before today’s advanced supplements.

Long before the internet. Long before all the high tech information on training and nutrition. Long before today’s advanced supplements. Even before steroids, bodybuilders managed to build muscle beyond what was considered possible. Today, it’s easier and it’s faster. But we can learn a thing or two from our iron ancestors.

One trick that was common among the old iron men was to eat eggs. LOTS OF THEM. Up to a dozen a day! Now that would horrify today’s cholesterol paranoid populace but there was no such worry back then. They knew, perhaps by instinct, that exercise is what keeps cholesterol in check and they did plenty of it. And eggs are the most anabolic substance on earth. It could as simple as they contain all the ingredients to create life.

The brilliant nutritionist Rheo Blair put this concept into action when he designed what was considered the best protein supplement available. Before Rheo, protein was made from soy. It was high in protein and it was cheap. But Rheo knew it was the whole egg that had the more favorable amino acid profile.

Today, protein supplementation is far beyond what Rheo himself would have imagined. But one thing that is overlooked is the power of whole egg. That’s why we included it in BIG BLAST. Even though it has super plasma protein and the highest grade whey isolate, the whole egg really adds an anabolic blast.

The best of the past and the best of the present. That what makes BIG BLAST your ticket to more mass.

ZIP – For When You Need That Something “Extra.”

ZIP is a high potency fat loss formula designed to aid the thyroid in using more calories, more efficiently. This, in turn, burns fat faster. It’s a simple concept but one which eludes so many supplement companies. They’re all too concerned with getting the customer as amped as possible. That’s why we continue to see more and more weight loss formulas that essentially just have more and more caffeine. They figure, the more “alert” you feel, the more calories you’ll burn. But it doesn’t work that way. Sure, you might feel a little boost so you can work harder, but very often, all that caffeine leaves you weak and jittery. That’s another reason ZIP is so good.

ZIP has all natural ingredients that can give that “extra edge” of energy, without that shaky, nervousness that comes along with those caffeine laden pep pills. And not only does ZIP provide instant energy, it burns fat around the clock by supporting thyroid function.

When it comes to real, long lasting fat loss, ZIP is the only logical answer.

UNLEASHED vs PROVIRON

Do a search on Proviron and you’ll discover it’s a very interesting compound. It isn’t a steroid but it’s a drug used in steroid cycles. It doesn’t build a lot of muscle but it makes whatever muscle you have very “hard.” This is due to the SHBG lowering effects. And anyone who’s been following the info on this site knows, that’s exactly what UNLEASHED does – it lowers SHBG, allowing more free testosterone to be bio-available. And there’s an added benefit – it prevents estrogen from building up. This makes it an excellent addition to a cycle and especially beneficial AFTER the cycle when you want to prevent estrogen imbalance and make the most of natural testosterone.

For years Proviron was a logical choice because it was less suppressive and less toxic than oral steroids. LESS so, but not completely. After all, it is a drug an all drugs have side effects. It also reduces SHBG by increasing DHT, which in turn cause prostate problems and increases hair loss!

UNLEASHED does not work in that manner. It’s completely non toxic and non suppressive and does not increase DHT. The ingredients work selectively to reduce SHBG and increase natural testosterone. It’s also less expensive than Proviron. And it’s legal.

So as much as Proviron had a place, it’s been RE-placed. By UNLEASHED. Never do a cycle without it. And after it.

The 7 Day BIG BLAST BLITZ

Want to gain some size in a hurry? Try this.
Take one serving of BIG BLAST before your workout, and bring another serving to the gym with you. It’s best to use a light water based flavor like Tropical Orange when training so you don’t get to bogged down. Dairy can cause cramps when training whereas a citrus drink will be refreshing.

Within 20 minutes after your workout, have ANOTHER serving of BIG BLAST. This will enhance all windows of opportunity regarding growth. It’ll give you the energy to work out hard, keep nitrogen high when training and replenish afterward.

Then once more, before bed, add another serving. This time, change up the flavor and use whole milk. This is provide all night anabolism so your muscles stay nourished and grow while you sleep.

Keep all other food intake the same with a balance of nutrients, emphasizing protein.

Yep, it’s a lot. And it takes some commitment. But keep this up for one week and you’ll be amazed at the difference. A difference you can SEE. You’ll look bigger, fuller and more pumped. Try it and you’ll see for yourself why BIG BLAST is considered the ultimate growth drink.

Which Whey to Go

Choosing which whey protein to use from the Proteinfactory.com can be somewhat difficult if you’re a beginner to protein supplementation or a first time user visiting the site. Therefore this article will give you the know-how in choosing which whey protein will fit your supplementation needs.
The first topic I will discuss is how to actually read an ingredient label and to understand the terms. Take a look at this first description that you might see on a supplement facts panel.
“Micro-filtration Whey Protein Concentrate”.
You can divide this term into 3 separate sections. The first part is the manufacturing technique. (microfiltration). The second part is the product (whey). And the last part is the protein percentage (concentrate). I will begin explaining the first set of words, “Micro-filtration”. The first set of words before the word “whey” represents the manufacturing technique. In this case it is the micro-filtration process. There are a few techniques manufacturers use to produce whey protein that I will discuss later in the article. The second word represents the product, “whey”. The third word represents the protein percentage. Only two words can be used, concentrate or isolate. “Concentrate” means that the powder is going to be 80% protein or less. For example if you took 100 grams of whey concentrate and analyzed for protein grams, 80 grams would actually be protein. The rest is made up of non-protein components, (ash, moisture, fat, carbs, and lactose). “Isolate” means the powder is 90% protein or higher. Nothing is 100% protein. The closest is the ion-exchange whey isolate at about 97% protein.
You should always have 3 parts to describe the way: The manufacturing technique, the product, and the protein percentage.
Now that you understand what the words represent, let me discuss the manufacturing techniques in more detail.
There are 4 ways to manufacture whey protein on the commercial level. The most common is micro/ultra filtration. This technique the whey is produced using what the manufacturers call “polymer filters”. These filters separate the protein from the liquid milk and whey and produce the protein. Micro/Ultra filtration technique is NOT patented by any manufacturer thus the price is always lower than any other way. Companies that use this process are “Land O Lakes”, Protient, and the company that makes the Iso-Chill. For bodybuilding purposes, use the micro/ultra filtration process if you want and whey isolate at a good economic price.
The second process is Cross-Flow Microfiltration (CFM). This process is trademarked by Glanbia Nutritionals. The CFM is the highest quality whey isolate in the world. Instead of using polymer filters that cost about $15,000 dollars and wear down like a car tire does, the CFM process uses ceramic filters. These ceramic filters cost about $150,000. They are indestructible. The CFM process results in a higher protein subfraction content and less sodium and more calcium. People that purchase the CFM whey isolate are people that are looking for the very BEST whey. A protein that is higher in growth factors and other components than micro/ultra process.
The third process in patented by Davisco foods. This process is the ion exchange whey isolate. The ion exchange manufacturing technique using chemical solvents and electron charges to separate the protein for the liquid. The ion exchange process results in the highest BCAA content and protein %. But keep in mind that you can have a concentrate or an isolate ion exchange protein. Use the ion exchange whey isolate if you want the highest protein percentage possible.
The fourth manufacturing technique that is used is called “hydrolyzation” A hydrolyzed whey protein is actually a whey protein that has been “Pre-digested”. The manufactures and enzymes to the whey protein to start the digestion process and to convert the whey protein into peptides. The maximum that a hydrolyzed protein can be pre-digested is 50%. I have never seen anything higher. So the rest of the 50% of the hydrolyzed protein is still in its “whole food” state. Use a hydrolyzed whey protein for quick digestion. Usual after post-workouts. One looks to achieve the term amionacedimia. A quick flush of amino acids entering the blood stream for a super anabolic effect.
The four manufacturing techniques described above are the only commercial available proteins used today.
Take a look at this ingredient statement found on a sample jar of whey protein that we found.
Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Hydrolysate),
Quite confusing isn’t it?
First off you the label doesn’t state which manufacturing technique it is. So your left guessing. Second you don’t know how much of each product they are using. Are you getting 50% whey isolate, 25% WPC and 25% hydrolyzed whey. Well, we will never know.
Take a look at this second label.
Cross Flow Micro/Ultra filtered 100% Pure Whey Protein Isolate (Beta Lactoglobulin 19,100 MW/50% Alpha Lactoalbumin 14,700 MW/20% Glycomacropeptides 16,200 MW 20%, Immunoglobulin 95,000 MW/3%, Bovine Serum Albumin 65,000 MW/2%, Protease Peptone <1% Lactoferrin <1%, Lacto Peroxidase <1%),
Wow sounds really high tech doesn’t it? The company decided to add the words “Cross Flow” to make it sound more scientific. Don’t be fooled. Now all the terms after “whey protein isolate” are the protein subfractions. These protein subfractions are all naturally occurring. They are not separately added ingredients. The label should actually look like this. “Micro/Ultra filtration whey isolate.” That’s it.
Thus, now you know how to read a supplement facts label and how to choose which whey protein will best fit your needs.
